Website and email issues

Update: 10:42AM - Sept 13th, 2019

Both our website and email is now functioning as normal. We will be migrating our emails later today and sending a mess email to our clients and certain vendors notifying them of this issue and to send us again any emails they have not yet received a response yet to.

Earlier this weekend we began moving out email servers from Google to Yahoo. We’ve since discovered compatibility issues which caused our website to be inaccessible. We are now moving those servers back. These changes can take up to 24 hours to revert back.

We greatly apologize for the inconvenience and concern this may have caused.

Weekly Update

I hope everyone had a great long weekend. I know it’s been both fun and very busy in our family household. I wanted to take this moment to go over a bunch of what’s been happening over the last week.

First we had a great time shooting Maggie & Jeff’s wedding this weekend. Everything was just so beautiful from the day. Although it was one of the hottest days we’ve filmed a wedding each member of the wedding party and guest had a wonderful attitude. We feel so grateful to have celebrated this day with them.

Here are some quick frame grabs from the day:

One of the next things that happened this that weekend was going to the Manitoba Museum for some pickup shots from a wedding earlier this year. It was such a busy day during the wedding that I decided to grab those later to maximize the live coverage and activities. This shots are going to be important to the final creation of the highlight film and cinematic feature.

This weekend we did have an issue with our raid storage. This caused issues with both importing this weekends footage to Final Cut Pro. But more critically, after a regular restart Monday morning, I was greeted with a message saying that I needed to reformat the drive before continuing to use it. So rather then working on Monday, the rest of the day was spent transferring footage, backing up data, and rebuilding my raid drive.

At his time we have at least three copies of all active clients data. One of these backups are backed up to LTO4 tapes, which we keep securely at a offsite out of town location. So do not worry about your wedding footage. We take of time with these issues to make sure that nothing of value is lost.

Right now we plan on getting all of out edit request done by the end of this coming weekend. With the issues we’d had with this drives we’ll likely see K & R’s wedding sent out by Saturday afternoon the latest. Then aim to be back to our regular schedule.

As always I appreciate all of you. Thank you for your patience, positive comments and enthusiasm. You really all are the best! Be chatting with you soon, and see you again this FRIDAY for our weekly stream on Twitch. Should be starting around 8:30-9pm, depending on when the kiddo’s go to bed.
